Wixon has an immediate opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalist.

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, this role performs work on a wide range of human resource functions that include recruiting and staffing, compensation administration, benefits administration, policy and program development, performance management, organizational development, human resource information systems, employee relations and employee communications. This a role that will help coordinate strategic initiatives for the department and is a senior member of the Human Resources staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage the workforce to handle employee relations, counseling, investigations, and makes recommendations to management/supervision/employees regarding proper course of action.
  • Assists with compensation programs; coordinates the performance evaluation program, revises and makes recommendations management/supervision/employees.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees. Writes and places job ads, makes recommendations to hiring managers regarding candidate selection.
  • Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems. Responsible for producing and monitoring key HR metrics and making recommendations to improve metrics to achieve desired organizational results.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Administers various human resources plans, projects, policies, and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Performs benefit administration, education, and communication to employees.


  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist Role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Requires strong technical knowledge and skills in multiple HR disciplines and best practices.
  • Requires knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and must work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with HRIS and payroll software, in addition to Microsoft Office applications. Past in experience in ADP a plus.
