Wixon Innovates
Trends continue to refine and evolve at an increasingly faster rate. Wixon makes it a priority to keep our customers informed of these changing trends and has introduced a new program called "Wixon Innovates," a quarterly in-depth look at the very latest. We then translate those themes into food and drink that must be tasted to be believed.

Garlic Market Experiencing Challenges
Domestic and Chinese garlic markets are facing significant challenges, including growing worldwide demand and smaller crops.
According to the USDA, as of the second week of September 2010, season-to-date imports of Chinese garlic have dropped 33%. An estimated shortfall of 90 million pounds is expected in Chinese product, and the 2009 Chinese garlic harvest was 30% to 40% less than previous years.
Chinese supplies are smaller due to colder than normal winter temperatures during the past spring growing season. Large sizes of garlic will continue be in tight supply. (Source: The Produce News, 6/17/10)
