2009 Wisconsin's Future 50 Award Wixon has been named to the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce /Council of Small Business Executives (MMAC/COSBE) Future 50, which recognizes 50 privately owned companies in southeastern Wisconsin that have shown significant revenue and employment growth. The Future 50 were honored at a luncheon Sept. 17 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.
"We position ourselves as a value-added partner, which has contributed to our significant growth," said Peter Gottsacker, Wixon's president. "One of our key strengths is our employee family. We value our employees and recognize that our company's success is based on our team's commitment to quality and service at every level."
Earlier this year, Wixon opened a $2.5 million state-of-the-art Innovations Center for Culinary & Meat Processing, designed to offer customers the latest in testing, new product development, demonstrations, and prototype food products. 2007 IQ Award The Wisconsin Technology Council and the Small Business Times (a southeastern Wisconsin business publication), annually presents the Innovative Quotient (IQ) Award to 10 southeastern Wisconsin companies and nonprofit organizations that develop innovative products, services or processes that positively impact the region. In 2007, Wixon was one of the recipients. We won for the development of our Mag-nifique™ line of flavor technologies, created under the direction of Vice President of R&D, Mariano Gascon, and his team of flavor technologists, food chemists, and food researchers.
