Quality Assurance and Control

Wixon, Inc. is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of food and beverage ingredients. Our quality certification covers flavors, spices, blended seasonings, licorice root extract products and derivatives, bread and baking mixes, retail finished foods, and our packaging facility. The U.S. Registration Accreditation board (RAB) and the United Kingdom's National Accreditation Council of Certification Bodies (NACCB) oversee our accreditation through Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited. We're proud of the fact that Wixon has repeatedly received customer awards for quality and been chosen as supplier of the year by various manufacturers.

Internally, all aspects of product development and production are subject to Wixon's Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures administered by a trained team of food science professionals. Raw materials are checked upon arrival for cleanliness and in comparison to optimal samples to ensure consistent quality and conformity to Wixon and client specifications. During production, random testing is conducted for purity, weight, color, viscosity, flavor, texture, and chemical composition. Each finished product is further tested according to usage levels and application standards. All finished product blends are assigned lot numbers to guarantee accurate reproduction and retrieval.

In addition to our QA/QC team, all production worker are authorized to stop a process at any time if a concern arises. At Wixon, quality is everyone's responsibility.
